Let's talk about the first writing aoutomaton first. Why can it write exactly what we want, or, how can we programe it? Inside the writing automaton, there are many cams and a wheel that controls them. The wheel that control the cams which is made up of letters can be remove, replaced and then reordered.The cams contorl the arms of the automaton: how it moves and how  much pressure it uses on the paper.

Compared to the writing aoutomaton, the turk seems to be a little mysteriuos. I spent nearly half an hour but still hadn't found even one artle that is about hwo it wroks mechanically. But, instead, I found some interesting information. I think, it is totally a trick. The turk was made by Kempelen. The inspiration of the turk came from a peformance came from a performance performed by Maria Theresia. After watching that performance, Kempelen promised to perform a excellent which is also known the turk. Inside the turk, there is a lot of mechenical structure like a     clock. This is to conceal the audience. Actually, there is a chair in it that can slide. When showing people that there is nobody in it, the chess player can slide  so as to prevent from being seen. Then how can the chess player inside the turk know what the outside chess player have played just now? It's thanks to the magnent.
